Joshua - First names have to start with "J". That's a SARTE tradition. We can't break that. Great-grandpa Jesus named his 3 sons, Jeronimo, Jansen and Jorge. Jeronimo (Jerry) named us James, Julienne and Jennifer. Hence my sons Justice and now Joshua. "Joshua", very normal, biblical and mainstream name. The same reasons we gave Justice the middle name "Matthew".

Martin - The name of Susan's late father. We wanted to pay tribute to him by giving one of our son's his name. Unfortunately, I was stubborn in my refusal to allow Justice's middle name to be Martin rather than Matthew. Susan even mentioned that Justice was born on Martin Luther King Day, and that was a sign to use Martin as his middle name. Nonetheless, Papa shot the idea down. I guess if I had gone ahead with her wishes at the time, our newest son wouldn't be stuck with the "three-name" curse.

Reign - This is the name we love. If it weren't for tradition, this would be our son's first name. It compliments his brother's name perfectly. As with the naming of Justice, we wanted names our son's would have to live up to. Unique names. Memorable names. I guess we're just weird that way...well, less Susan, more me.(sorry, Grandma)

So there you have it. I hope that helps clear up any confusion. For the record, we are calling our son by his Middle name, Reign. He can always choose to use Joshua down the road, should he prefer to. But for now he's Mom's little Reign-drop and Papa's little Reign-Man.
